I haveto do a practicum of 200 hours and an internship of 600 hours. The practicum in July and the internship in Fall August through December. This is where I would go to a local voc rehab office and learn what a rehabilitation counselor actually does. The problem is that none of the counties near me can host me as an intern. The only one that is willing to is 60 miles away. Rehab has said they will help pay for transportation, but that is just so far. I’ve looked in to vanpools and carpools, still looking. Would you pray that I find transportation or even better somewhere closer to where I live. This has been a frustrating time for me dealing with voc rehab. So far during my graduate classes they’ve done nothing to help me. I am a bit skeptical now that they’ll actually come through. I want to finish the degree, but need a way to do that.
