Hi list, I tried to search for the outdoor sensor frequency from 430 through 435 using my Vr500 Yaesu handheld receiver right next to the sensor and couldn't find it. I was using the Fm mode so maybe I should try SSB or Am? Anyone have any suggestions? Gotta get my mind off my busted Tmv71a, Jim WA6EKS ----- Original Message ----- From: Gerry Learry <[log in to unmask] To: [log in to unmask] Date sent: Sat, 29 Dec 2012 23:00:52 -0700 Subject: Re: OT. Weather indoor & outdoor atomic clock question First take the battery out of the main unit for a few seconds and then put it back in. Also try pressing the reset button in the outdoor unit. Also call Blind mice mart and they will be happy to work with you. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phil Scovell" <[log in to unmask] To: <[log in to unmask] Sent: Thursday, December 27, 2012 10:54 PM Subject: OT. Weather indoor & outdoor atomic clock question Anybody have one of these from blind mice? We, meaning my wife and I, = got one for Christmas and it all works fine except the outdoor probe. = By that I mean, I put the batteries in and the main clock unit isn't = getting a signal, apparently, and it is good for 150 feet. I have it = less than 10 feet away out the window. Unfortunately, Blind Mice has a = 14 day return policy so you don't get much time to test it when it was = saved a few days for a Christmas gift. I just thought before trying to = return it, maybe somebody on this list has one and knows about the = probe. I was a little concerned upon opening it at Christmas because = there were no instructions but even a blind man can figure this one out = so I'm wondering, the way it wasn't packaged, that is, not shrink = wrapped and no instructions, if it had already been returned once = before. I bought a staple gun at a big hardware store once and when I = got it home, I could see the way the box was torn, it had at least been = opened and when I started using it, it wouldn't work right half the time = so I returned it and next time checked the packaging closer before = leaving the store.
