Owens, I tend to take your line of thinking as far as electoral calculus goes. Plus, the boycot by the significant opposition parties inured the implosions within APRC. I am not interested in the personal gains or losses of Hon. Hamat.

Haruna. Thank you cous Demba for sharing your analysis.

Do not agree with the analysis, I am sure the situation would have been different if the Opposition had not "boycotted". One has to bear in mind the Independents only came into the scene after realising that the Opposition Parties will not participate. Most of those who voted for the Independent are staunch supporters of the APRC. Another point to mention is that there has been a slight improvement in the overall turnout from the last NationaL Assembly elections held in 2007.

Hamat Bah has been humiliated again as he lost his dream seat refusing to join his colleagues to boycott the elections.. however, close analysis of the election results could give a different impression...

Analysis of the results may show that the opposition could have captured up to 12 seats in the house including opposition independence wins...

Check out more indept analysis of the results at http://www.gainako.com/news/news/2012/03/30/hamat-bah-loses-parliamentary-elections-while-independence-grab-four-seats.html

How would you analyse the results??????

Thanks

Demba
