Ha ha.
FIFA had given the best escape route for the Government of the dictator. Who amongst the old GFA Executive would dare write anything contrary to what the oga wants them to report?Definately not the Seedy Kinteh we all knew or any of his fired executive. Once again Jammeh has escaped the net chei Gambia. Has FIFA not sniffed the rat when the old executive within few days of their sack coming ON bended knees saying all sorts.I for one belief FIFA is either not aware of the Gambia and the type of regime we have or they are tired of us and just want to let things be as it is. Gambia is not another country. It belongs to one man and if he fires one and replace it (for we are all it to him) with another, all you can do while in the Gambia is smile and move on. All with eyes are seing fit the Green boys are as they are well fed. That tell you what I mean.

Gambia: Fifa refuse to recognize new Gambia football committee
Fifa has announced that it does not recognise the newly-installed
interim committee that replaced the dissolved Gambia Football
Association (GFA).
The world’s football governing body also asked the ousted executive
committee to present an urgent report of what transpired within the GFA
last week, which it said would determine the imposition of sanctions on
the country’s football.

Gambia minister of youth and sports Alieu K Jammeh sacked the GFA
chief Seedy MB Kinteh on Friday and scraped the body for not making
headway in continental and international competitions.

A new team chaired by the honorary life president of the GFA,
Alhagie Ousman B. Conateh, was named on Tuesday to run the nation’s
football affairs for one year before new elections.

Some local observers saluted the government's move while others feared that it could attract sanctions from Fifa.

Gambian clubs Brikama United and Gamtel have qualified to the next
round of the Caf Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively and
may be affected if Fifa eventually imposes sanctions.

"In particular, no governmental instituted 'interim committee' would
be recognised and/or dealt with by Fifa," Fifa said in a letter.

Fifa has asked the officials who have been ousted to complete a full report on the situation in the country by Thursday.

"Upon expiry of this deadline, the submission of the present case to
Fifa's Emergency Committee will be evaluated,'' the letter warned.

"Fifa underlines that any action taken against the GFA's executive
committee would constitute a clear governmental interference and
therefore infringe the Fifa Statutes which could lead to severe
sanctions,'' the letter concluded.
