In this edition,

1. President Alpha Conde shares condolences with the people and government of Congo Brazzaville on the accidental explosions at one of that nation's military barracks. President Conde' also sent congratulatory messages to President Vladimir Putin and the people of Russia on the occasion of his election as President of Russia recently.

2. A movement of local diaspora Kissidougou and Gueckedougou hold a demonstration in Conakry to express their adherence to President Alpha Conde's programme of change. PM Mohammed Said Fofana is guest of honor.

3. Minister Alhassane Conde' of MATAP and Mines and Geology minister Hon. Lamine Fofana visit Beyla, Moribabougou to express the government's condolences and grief at the recent automobile accident in the prefecture. The accident which was caused by a faulty brake system on a truck resulted in some 52 deaths and 25 injured.

4. Commissioner Hon. Sekou Kourouma conducts a seminar on the state of La-Guinea governance.

5. Minister of health Dr. Naman Keita visits Kaback Island to distribute cholera kits to the population. WHO and the Red Cross contributed to this effort. Only 3 persons remain infected with cholera. Kaback island is a source of significant food and fish supply for Conakry.

6. Konta Port and associated roads construction proceeds well. The project will enhance the delivery of mined iron ore to port at Konta. The project is undertaken by Forecariya Mining, a Sino-Guinean consortium.

7. Customs rejuvenated in Koundara at the Senegalo-Guinean border. Cols. Toumany Sangare and Karinka Conde' share perspectives.

8. A private Technical Training Institute is inaugurated in the port city of Kamsar. The institute will begin with two certificate courses in Mining and Applied Geology and Metallurgy and industrial processes. This is in line with the government's programme to enhance human resource capacity.

9. Camp Alpha Yahya Diallo Military hospital receives equipment and materielle gifts from German NGO Friendship International. Kindia hospital also receives equipment gifts from an association of diasporan Kindians - Kindia Friends. Donka University Hospital - Oncology unit also receives gifts of equipment and materielle from NGO Health For All France.
