Also, I don't know if this applies, but I have a client with Word 2010 whose "page" moves over to the left (with a bunch of gray on the right) if the view is set to 100%. If I change the zoom level (down in the bottom right corner) to 120%, the white page is centered on the screen. This person does have a wide screen monitor, so that might be the issue. I just tried it on my computer, and I have to move it down to 50% to make the white page move over to the left side like that. To change this permanently, do the following: Press ALT+F, I for the Word Options multiple page dialog box. Press CONTROL+TAB to move to the Advanced page. Press SHIFT+TAB to move to the Allow Opening a document in the Draft View check box. Press the spacebar to check the check box. Tab to the OK button and press ENTER. Press ALT+F4 to exit Word. If the user is asked if he/she would like to save the changes made to Document 1 (or any document), TAB to the No button and press the ENTER key.
