The Drivers Association 0f State House through one Alhaji Lamin Jammeh, the chief driver, has written to the Gambian leader, His Excellency, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, thanking him for his invaluable assistance he continues to render to the members of the Association.

The letter reads:
It is with a deep sense of honour and privilege that I write on behalf of the above association and indeed on my own behalf expressing our appreciation and profound gratitude for your Excellency’s invaluable assistance we received and continue to receive in order to improve our living standard. We would like to commend you for the recent Quranic memorization competitions which you initiate and sponsored. 

We knowledge Your Excellency’s kind benevolence in giving sugar, rice and other basic needs to Muslims during the month of Ramadan. The association thanked you immensely for giving them ticket every year to perform hajj in Mecca.

Your Excellency, it has been indeed 17 years meaningful socio-economic development spanning all sectors of Gambia society since the advent of the second republic. The country has witnessed rise and growth of health infrastructure all over the country backed by trained indigenous human capital. Your Excellency’s personal endeavour in the crucial sector cannot be over emphasized.

Under Your Excellency’s visionary and dynamic leadership, the drivers also have the opportunity to travel and paid Per Diem allowances. We would like to inform Your Excellency that we did not regard our association with you, and support for you and your government since you assumed the mantle of power of our beloved country which has undergone unprecedented developments under Your Excellency’s wise and able leadership. 

Education at Basic, Secondary and Tertiary levels has received and continues to receive a big boost thereby preparing present and future generations for the challenges that lie ahead. On a final note Sir, we would like to assure you of our continue loyalty and support Your Excellency and the Government to bring several meaningful socio-economic development to the country so as to achieve your noble objective of transforming our motherland into Ultra Modern State. 

The Association is prepared to campaign for Your Excellency and the APRC Party for his upcoming election to secure over 90% victory. We pray that the Almighty Allah continues to bestow his blessings and protection on Your Excellency, the entire First Family and our beloved country under your wise and visionary leadership. We are undoubtedly confident that, with Your Excellency in power, The Gambia is at ease.
