My son will be attending the Boy Scouts of America High Adventure Camp at Philmont. Has anyone had experience with them? If so, how did you handle it?

The troop will be hiking over a period of 10 days. Philmont provides meal kits for breakfast lunch and dinner, but the scouts get whatever the camp provides. None of the meal kits will be GF. The scouts will be hiking 4-8 miles ever day, and will need some hearty meals to refuel for the next day.

We know Alpine Air offers some GF options. We are wondering if anyone can offer up some other suggestions regarding other freeze dried backing food since eating Chicken-gumbo for breakfast lunch and dinner for 10 days straight is not my son's first choice.

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated!

Thanks,
Leslie
