Bro Haruna,

I am happy to hear of Jonathan's victory, at the same time saddened by the situation of the riots in the North side. I hope Jonathan will restore the much needed hope, peace and stability to unify all Nigerians (Africans) under a common umbrealla. I think he will step up and consider the plight of those calling for justice, especially in the North....and I hope he does!

Thanks for sharing...

Many died in the post-election riots
The outgoing Head of State, Goodluck Jonathan, was declared winner of presidential election rocked by riots in the predominantly Muslim north. These post-election riots were "many dead"during the night of Monday to Tuesday, an official of the Red Cross, which gave no further details. Jonathan said after the announcement of the results that Nigerians had "shown the world that they were able to organize free, fair and credible. " But victory for Mr Goodluck, a southern Christian, has riots in the Muslim north. The main opposition party, Congress for Democratic Change which Mr. Buhari was the candidate has formally objected to the irregularities of the presidential result. These accusations are contained in a complaint sent to the Electoral Commission, said the party chairman, Tony Momoh. The poll confirmed a clear division between the pro-Jonathan Christian south and Muslim north, where many pro-Buhari had on his victory to revive an economically marginalized by the oil rich south of the country. Mr Goodluck was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party which won the first round every presidential since the end of military rule in 1999.AFP.

by gratuitous violence and listless demonstration. I encourage Nigerians to choose calm and respect the will of their greater number. This victory of President Jonathan must not be a reason for gratuitous delinquency. You must afford your new President the calm and peace he needs to bring Nigeria back from the abyss. Haruna. I just wish the man would start wearing colourful Sombreros. I'll settle for a camouflage Sombrero. Anything.
