I try, though I lost some of my fluency over time, especially after a decade of not interacting. I used to go 'herding' "Fuh mataff' cows with the Jolas during my younger days. I was a shepherd boy who spent a great time working on the farm and at the herd. My grandfather was also married to a Jola , and we have some relatives among the Jolas (Badjie), some of them in 'baseng' (Cassamance), and others in 'Bajana' (Foni). The Gambia is a very small place.

[...as I, before that time have predicted to many particularly when we had those workshops on HIV/AIDS that there is a cure for it and without discrimination JOLAS have a cure for it. Thank you for making my predictions comes through. Please as a patriotic citizen and of the same ethnicity as you...]Baboucarr J. Bojang
Without exaggeration, I found the above statement not fitting right. I don't have any problems with messages to Jammeh, especially in their 'butt-licking' efforts to win material, but what is quite scary is the division and marginalization of people based on tribe.
Bojanghoo (in foni Jola),
'manteh aww ju'ut'. Pan Jak! Hula tuu keg Gambie. Yaya Jammeh ah ghajori. oh bajut fukof!"
