Cherno,

This is another indication of a failed political leader. One wonders who Jammeh actually is. Listening to it, I sensed another rotten attitude from Jammeh again, calling his patients "lackadaisical" meaning lazy.

On a more honest note, feeding sick patients with banana and mixture of herbal roots is nothing new in our culture. The term in Jola for the mixture is called ‘bunkayab’ or fondly ‘yabei.’

Well, an elderly friend of mine in Scandinavia who recently returns from the Gambia called me last week and confided a discussion he had with Dr. Mbowe. From the horses’ mouth, Dr. Mbowe is saying that Jammeh’s alleged treatment is all fake. The breakthrough celebration is another way to lavish Gambia’s resources. That is an absolute shame!

Find a commentary on Mubarak. Jammeh must go!

Fankung, I concur with Baba. This is really degrading, if this is what quality of leadership is to you, then I am very sorry that this kind of performance cannot even be measured to below average.

I don't blame you either because you don't know any better... you know most of those people attending the event are doing it out of fear of consequences.

Welcome back the post!!!!
