In reading about potassium, some sources say that the RDA for an adult is 40 - 80 mEq. In milligrams, that's quite a lot.  

As a diabetic, the foods with the highest potassium values aren't good for me, such as lima beans, orange juice, banana and baked potato!!   I guess I will have to learn to like fish (ick!!)
