Our lives have shared many marvelous anniversaries.  A few which come to mind are these:  Hailey's comet 1985, an anniversary which is particular to jazz fans, the birth of  Bix Beiterbecke,
Leon Bismark Beiderbecke
Born March 10 1903 ,
the birth of Louis Braille January 4, 1809, and, perhaps the most marvelous anniversary of them all, the first publication of the King James Authorized Version of the bible.  As we look at the disposable nature of our culture it is rare to find a thing which has withstood the test of time as has the King James Authorized Version of the bible.  This year marks its four hundredth anniversary.  As it was in 1611 it was first published for all who could read to enjoy and to appreciate.  How many other things do we have and which we enjoy and are created for our instruction can we say are 400 years old.  The beauty of its language and descriptions can not be surpassed by anything  short of Shakespeares great works.
