John: Fortunately, I don't have Windows 7 here yet, although I'm afraid that someday it will be inevitable, unless I go to a Mac which I've been very tempted to do at times. Anyway, I have Windows XP here, and simply can't seem to find the Semantik anti-virus icon on the system tray. Perhaps there's another way to get to things so I can disable the anti-virus software when contesting with the CW interface, but I just haven't found it yet. 73 from Tom Behler: KB8TYJ ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Miller" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Saturday, January 01, 2011 10:59 PM Subject: Re: Minor software problem with N3FJP CW interface for N3FJP NAQP Contest Logging Program If you have the misfortune of running windows 7 it may not be in the system tray until you put it there in taskbar and start menu options. I'd give more detailed info but the computer I was working with windows 7 on now refuses to charge the battery and has me so frustrated I'm writing it off as a 100% complete loss, I don't see why people like it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "tom behler" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Saturday, January 01, 2011 10:54 PM Subject: Minor software problem with N3FJP CW interface for N3FJP NAQP Contest Logging Program > Hi, all. > > As many of you know, I have been having fun trying to get the CW interface > working between my laptop and my TS480, using the N3FJP NAQP logging > sofftware. > > I have actually gotten things working fairly well, but do have one small > issue. > > Every so often, when sending one of the CW strings, the N3FJP software > kind > of stutters.
