Mr Jawo,

Thanks for sharing Mo Ibrahim. Interesting lectures. Collective
responsibility by all is the answer to the failures of governance and bad
inept leadership in Africa. Ibrahim is a great son of Africa doing a great
job. Wish a lot more successful Africans like him were doing what he is
doing.

Indeed it is the irresponsible, corrupt, maniacal dictatorships with their
lack of direction and vision that keep blaming colonialism and the West for
their failures. A good example is in SHEPAD of the Gambia with his
persistent nonsensical rhetoric in blaming the West on just about everything
that has gone wrong in Africa.

Like Ibrahim posited the likes of SHEPAD have no problem luxuriating
with products produced in the West, yet when it comes to values based on
human rights, democracy and some other attendant issues of freedom, African
dictators will invoke cultural relatavism.

Indeed,* *responsible leadership will usher in good democratic governance
in Africa and get us out of the mess we are in.

Best,

Mboge
