should be married let alone to each other. Our friend Sankareh is best advised to look elsewhere for a wife. And our other friend Maimuna is not ready to be married to anyone, not even Phillip Brown. How do you go on a holiday visit in another country without informing your parents and family? And you say you were married to someone else. Why didn't you seek a divorce first before fleeing? Just because someone gives you a visa to the UK doesn't mean you should run off to meet him without the consent of your parents and or husband. You are not a good person let alone "wife". That is if this story below is true. Haruna. Allez.

I Have Never Been Missing—Maimuna Jallow Breaks The Silience
…Says She Has Never Been Married To 74 Year Old Philip Brown
“ My Husband Is Smearing My Image All Over The Planet,” She Tells Freedom Newspaper
Following press reports that she abandoned his husband Ousainou Baye Sankareh to marry a British tourist Philip Brown, 24 year old Maimuna Jallow has broke the silence, as she spent half an hour on the phone Monday, dispelling Mr. Sankareh’s smear campaign directed at her person, and British friend—describing such reports as “unfounded, and totally rubbish.” Speaking from Wales in the United Kingdom, Maimuna Jallow said she is still married to Mr. Sankareh, and for Sankareh to suggest that she secretly married to Mr. Brown was a figment of his own imagination. She said there is no iota of truth in Sakareh’s claims that she married to Mr. Brown.
Narrating the circumstances surrounding her UK trip, Maimuna Jallow said she secured a six months holiday visa, thanks to the help of his friend Philip Brown. She said she has been in touch with Mr. Sankareh and her family in The Gambia since her arrival in the UK.
“ My husband Ousainou Sakankareh has been persistently calling me asking me to join him in Spain, and I do not have a Spanish visa. How can I join him in Spain when I do not have a visa to travel there. I have six months UK visa, and I would be back home in The Gambia when my visa expires in August. I am disappointed that he is spreading all these lies against my person that I married to Mr. Brown. Mr. Brown is a friend and nothing else. How can I marry to two men at the same time? Does that make sense to you? I think something is wrong with Ousainou,” said Maimuna Jallow, who told us that his friend Mr. Brown was having lunch during the time of this interview.
Maimuna Jallow said she met Mr. Brown at her place of work at Mansi Beach Hotel, where they developed friendship. She said there is no love relationship between her and Mr. Brown.
“ Ousainou has been tarnishing my name all over the world. I have been receiving phone calls from all parts of the planet. I married Ousainou in good faith, even though my parents never endorsed the marriage at the beginning. They never wanted me to marry this man, but despite all odds, I decided to give my heart, and love to Ousainanou. Today, he is running around tarnishing my image,” said Maimuna Jallow.
Maimuna Jallow said she is not in hiding. She said she has been going about her normal life in the UK.
“ I am free. I go anywhere I wanted to go. I shop at the supermarket. I even spoke to my Mum this morning, including Ousainou himself. If he is telling you that I am avoiding his phone calls that is a lie. I spoke to him on a regular basis. He wants me to join him in Spain, but I do not have visa to visit that country. I am here and I do not know anyone besides my host. If he wants me to travel to Spain, he should find visa for me,” said Maimuna Jallow.
Admitting that she traveled to the UK without the consent of his husband, and parents, Maimuna Jallow said she felt that if she had informed them about the planned trip they would have voiced their opposition against the trip.
“ I waited until I got to the UK and called them. They would not have allowed me to leave because I am still married to Ousainou,” she said.
According to Maimuna Jallow, she had been married to Ousainanou Baye Sankareh since 2001, but Mr. Sankareh has not been supportive to her. She said Sankareh just dumped her at her parents’ home in Brikama without any financial support.
“ Anytime I called him asking for help, he would tell me that I am not his wife. He insists that I must join his first wife at their family home in order to be considered as a wife. I think in accordance with Gambian culture, men are obliged to feed, and take care of their wives, but this man has shirked his responsibilities as a husband. He has never been supportive to me throughout this long years of marriage. He never called my parents. I have been faithful to him during his absence despite all odds,” Maimuna Jallow told the Freedom Newspaper.
She said Sankareh at some point was sending her D500 dalasi monthly allowances, but had since stopped sending her money. She said Sankareh never performed his role as a husband, even though she is faithful to him.
Mrs. Jallow said Mr. Sankareh started calling her parents only after she left for the UK, but had always snubbed them over the years. She said if she was a bad lady, she would have ventured into undesirable marital life, but had always been faithful to him.
Reacting to reports that Mr. Sankareh spent over half a million dalasi into their wedding, Mrs. Jallow said Sankareh must be daydreaming.
“ Half a million for what? Does my parents sold me to him? Is he implying that I was sold to him? That is a lie. This guy never spent half a million in our marriage. Let me set the records straight: Let me tell you that my parents never wanted me to marry Ousainou in first place. I never wanted to betray him because we knew each other for one year before we got married. Based on that, I decided to marry him. My own born mother, father, and adopted Mum Serra Darboe all objected to the marriage. They never wanted me to marry this man. My Dad wanted me to go to school since I was his first daughter, but went ahead to marry Ousainou Sankareh. He is now calling me names. That’s all good,” said Maimuna Jallow as she cried on the phone.
Mr. Brown could not speak to the Freedom Newspaper, as he was busy having his lunch. Mrs. Jallow said Brown is also upset with Mr. Sankareh’s smear campaign against his person.
