Developers can use the extension to check their use of structural and styling markup that support functional web accessibility. 2 Check Your Web accessibility with WAVE Tue. Sept. 22 at 2 PM Presenter: Jared Smith from WebAIM WAVE is a popular and free web accessibility evaluation tool provided by WebAIM. It is used to aid humans in the web accessibility evaluation process. Rather than providing a complex technical report, WAVE shows the original web page with embedded icons and indicators that reveal the accessibility of that page. This Webinar will provide an overview of using WAVE as one of many tools to assess the accessibility of your web pages. 3 Check Web Accessibility With Cynthia Says Wednesday Sept. 23 at 2 PM Presenter Michael Burks Chairman of ICDRI Cynthia Says is a Web page accessibility checker. it is a joint Education and Outreach project of HiSoftware, and ICDRI, (The International Center for Disability Resources on the Internet). The HiSoftware Cynthia Says portal is a web content accessibility validation solution. It is designed to identify errors in your content related to Section 508 standards and/or the WCAG guidelines 1.0 priorities 1, 2 or3. You select which standard to test against. You can select which browser to check it with. The report will show which items you pass or fail. Many items however cannot be evaluated automatically and those items will instruct you to check them manually.
