Thanks Pa for the comments. Indeed such issues are also happening. Gambians are sadly their own worst enemies sometimes, notwithstanding the fact that, majority of us would never report another to authorities for Immigration and other matters.
We have summarily made contact with the go between, but the man is hesitant to meet Gambians.
The interesting thing is, this man is said to acquire his degree in u.k some years ago but then keep moving from place to place until he finally for whatever reason came to this situation. many may find it impossible to relate to him, but life is not all straight forward. We will do our best Pa, thanks for the concern as well.

Very sad Suntou. I was contacted by a Gambian in the UK who was also homeless. His story goes like this: He was working in a restaurant, but someone reported him to the police. The allegations were that he put poison in the baked cake. He was also accused of identity theft. That he uses his roommate's I number to secure job. Police responded and arrested him. He was being investigated on suspected terror activites.

The alleged poisoned cake was taken to a special lab for examination. An uknown caller reported him.
Interestingly, there was evidence to indict the concerned Gambian. He was released on police bail.

The last time I heard from was in MAy. He has been sleeping in the streets. I lost his contact info.

On final note, thanks Suntou for sharing such a sad story. I think we need to help such folks. We should encourage them to relate their stories.

Subject: Gambians in Shelter homes
Folks here, sometime last week, i came across a Sierra Leonian who live in our city. He is a final year PHD student but also has some Banjul connections.
He informed me of a Gambian who has declared himself homeless and that the guy requires urgent assistance. It is not unbelievable to come across such information.
He informed me of the location and shelter home this man is. I took it upon myself to find him, but sadly he has moved to another location as he is regularly evading people he knows according to the Sierra Loenian man.
I have his contact number which i tried calling few times but there was no answer. I am appealing to elders here who may have dealt with such unfortunate circumstances in mainland Europe, Denmark, Italy or France and also brothers in U.S.
This kind of situation requires a certain way of handling, i need advice. Please contact me privately to share generally how one can help this man get out the dead end he is in today.

I once handled a similar situation in Birmingham four years ago with a Gambian who was lodged by an Asian family. he too was avoiding Gambians for fear of exposing his plight. I met him at a Mosque and had a few chat with him. I end up finding out that he was having some mental health issue. he feared every single Gambian, imagine how difficult it was trying to find help for him?
With the help of some strong brothers there, we were able to locate his extended family in France and U.S. we also found one of his old friend in another U.K City. But sadly he always runs away, people went as far buying air tickets and provided some pocket money for him to return but he end up disappearing only to appear at his travel day passes.
that is the only experience i had.
A Sierra Leonian Pastor known only Thompson is in touch with the man. At the moment, the man prefer dealing with none Gambians. According to few information i heard, he too may be suffering from depression or having some mental health problem.

So please anyone, advice if you have seen or dealt with a Gambian in such an fortunate situation. If you are in U.K and you wish to talk to me, please call me on 07852491734. I will not share his name until i made contact with him and he agrees, even that, it will be only to those who call.
Let us look out for each other. We are all not strong enough to deal with difficult situations. May Allah look after us all. Ameen.
