Excuse my ignorance; I'm fairly new to being diagnosed as gluten intolerant.
Could someone please explain the below statement to me? In my limited
research, it is my understanding that CD is genetic. So, since I've tested
negative twice to not carrying the genes for CD, then how can gluten
intolerance turn into CD?

Thank you,

Some people who are only gluten intolerant as opposed to being Celiac do not
show this on testing. If the one continues to eat gluten, it can then
develop into a full blown celiac.
