Hi Jack, It is easier for people to accept my situation because I have celiac disease and get violent reactions from even trace amounts of gluten. It is hard to do, but when fed a "normal" meal I just eat the meat and leave the rest. When asked about it I just say that I can't handle the other stuff. I sometimes have to go to a restaurant and have a meal there, but that may not be an option since you living where you are for financial reasons. Good luck! Ron Hoggan, Ed.
