There is massive subtle racism in the UK both at personal and institutional level. I know because I have discovered it from living there during the close and early parts of the past and new Millenium respectively. I suppose there is more equal opportunities for minorities in the United States than in Britain. I personally prefer open racism than insidious racism. I can confront the former, the latter is a similar to being hugged by a person intending to stab you with a dagger.
