Get him to use the JAWS cursor and move around the screen and see if the website is really there. I have a problem on one of my machines where when I go to certain sites, I think it just happens on secure sites, https, the focus moves to the address bar and not to the screen and it acts as if it is frozen. However, if I move the JAWS cursor to the screen where I can see the web page text itself, then route PC to JAWS, focus returns to the page.
