My MS windows.net.framework software got corrupted when I tried to update it. Windows update keeps trying to update it as well. None of the MS fixes seem to work. One of their fixes is to delete the software completely and reinstall, but I can't remove all the traces from the registry and it won't let me reinstall since those traces indicate it is already installed. Even the 'cleaning' program they offer to remove registry traces doesn't work. I booted into safe mode w/command prompt, tried to delete entries from registry, gives me errors - error while deleting key, or error writing value. How else can I get into registry to delete or change anything? Any other people with problems with .net.framework? I have win xp sp2 MCE on a HP tower. Paul Hachmeyer "Hold No Punches.."
