My MS windows.net.framework software got corrupted when I tried to 
update it.  Windows update keeps trying to update it as well.  None of 
the MS fixes seem to work.  One of their fixes is to delete the software 
completely and reinstall, but I can't remove all the traces from the 
registry and it won't let me reinstall since those traces indicate it is 
already installed.  Even the 'cleaning' program they offer to remove 
registry traces doesn't work.  I booted into safe mode w/command prompt, 
tried to delete entries from registry, gives me errors - error while 
deleting key, or error writing value.  How else can I get into registry 
to delete or change anything?  Any other people with problems with 
.net.framework?  I have win xp sp2 MCE on a HP tower.
