<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> We are going to Arizona with a few families over Christmas break and one of the families wants to eat at Rawhide restaurant in Scottsdale. My 14 year old son is Celiac and loves steak so I called the restaurant to find out about the food. The woman said that they do not marinate the meat but just put a Rub on it. When I asked what the ingredients were she said that the recipe was "secret" and would not tell me. She said that she could leave the rub off the meat but it would be cooked on the same grill as the other meat. Has anyone ever eaten at this restaurant? Any suggestions as to how to get around the "secret" ingredients? Any opinions as to whether leaving off the rub but having the steak cooked on the same grill would be a problem? My son was diagnosed in September and this is the first trip we have taken since his diagnosis, so we are new at this and I know he wants to eat at this restaurant with everyone else.
