Fantastic. I read the NYT article 5 or 6 years ago but what got me started about 5 years before that was The Paleolithic Prescription. When I realized I had high b/p, I found the Cordain book (and, luckily, I got Neanderthin when it was available). Recently, my doctor told me he was entering into his log that he was ordering me to go on medication and my dentist refused to treat me b/c my b/p was so high. So I got serious and my b/p dropped to normal in short order. I am sure that it varies from person to person, but I have no risk factors other than probably some predisposition genetically on my father's side (Italian). I think very vigorous exercise helps, too but is useless without the dietary component. I'm 66 years old. No other health problems and no history of them.
