A good place to search would be the Montclair times;
Montclair N. J had a whole section of homes declared unlivable sometime around the time of 3 mile island (go figure) the homes were abandoned for a year or more and the  area was around valley road and rt. 3 ;  on a lighter note did everyone see the lime wars revisited in the magazine traditional masonry ?
