Hi; Sounds like a plan. This is why I was saying it would be a "long shot", but as they say, you never know. Why don't we do this: If you feel inclined to do the cleaning and servicing thing, and then want to consider selling it, let me know, and I'll check with her. If a donation doesn't come through, which it probably won't, maybe she'll have to consider some sort of a minimal price. I [personally have three Perkins Braillers--one for home, one at the University, and a spare that I keep as a back-up in case one of my main machines goes down or needs servicing. My spare brailler needs a cleaning, because it is very sluggish, but I haven't felt the need to bite the repair bullet yet. I had actually thought of getting it repaired, and giving it to this individual, but I really need to keep a spare on hand for work-related reasons. Let's keep each other posted. 73 from Tom Behler: KB8TYJ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Fiorello" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Sunday, July 29, 2007 3:24 PM Subject: Re: Perkins Brailler availability question > Hi Tom; > I might have an old perkins which needs a thorough cleaning.
