You'll definitely want to program in the marine frequencies, particularly
channel 16 (156.80) which is the international distress calling frequency.
Just google "marine frequencies" to get a list of all the frequencies. You
can start with this link.
http://www.marinewaypoints.com/learn/vhf.shtml

Then try a google on "marine frequencies SomeCruiseLine" or "marine
frequencies SomePortName".

If you have a shortwave reciever that recieves ssb you can also program
several USCG hf frequencies and other common hf marine freqs.

Subject: scanning on cruise ships?

Can any of youu kind listers find any docs about scanning on cruise ships,
both ship to shore and among the ship's crue?

Are their frequencies usually trunked?

Thanks much again as always.
