I'm assuming you're talking about a 500 hz filter. I do work a lot of CW and wouldn't be without one. For a while I used a borrowed ts430 while my 440 was being worked on. The 430 only had a sideband filter but I used it on CW anyway. Let me tell you there were times on the low end of 40 when it was painful. <grin> I haven't used a 350 hz filter but I can sure see how useful it would be in a contest.
