Mary Catherine, About the stretching - have they had you try the type of strech when you resist a surface and then relax and stretch? Called PNF,, I think. A sports medicine guy told me about it. My PT laughed it off, but I insisted we try and we never went back to the old way. Not saying it will work for you, but something to look into - just a thought. Good luck with your appointment. Maybe I'm just so out of shape that I can't stretch much, but I have tried to be very, very careful and never stretch to the point of pain. The last straw was the PT last Friday assuring me that the stretches wouldn't hurt, and - well - although I did a lot less than he said to do, they hurt! ----------------------- To change your mail settings or leave the C-PALSY list, go here: http://listserv.icors.org/SCRIPTS/WA-ICORS.EXE?SUBED1=c-palsy
