I think this is a great testimony considering peoples attitudes towards blindness is usaully a negative one. But please read this ladies testimony. And I hope others will gain the same attitude she has. Including myself. Testimony I did not go to the school for the blind. I have only lost my sight about 1 1/2 years ago. I am diabetic, and survived many physical challenges as a child, I was 12 when I became diabetic. As I grew older, my doctors felt most of the problems were regulated. But about 6 years ago, a retina detached in my right eye, they could not repair it, so I became completely blind in that eye. About 1 1/2 years ago, the other detached, after 7 hours in surgery, they were able to reattach it, but because I was under for so long, there were other complications. I am learning to live a NEW life now. I have about 20/100 vision in that one eye, but that is with coke bottle glasses..smiles. However, God has blessed me in so many ways since I lost my vision, I feel that this was just another door opening for me...it sounds odd, but I am happier now than I have ever been...but I am also closer to God, and heaven than I had ever been as well! Bless you all Julie -- Can you imagine what a scarcity of news there would be If everybody obeyed > the Ten Commandments? I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is IN GOD WE TRUST Karen Carter '74 -KC- Ministries
