I have tried to do that, but it will not boot from the CD. The first time I
tried it it did and Windows set up said that there was no partition and
exited set up.

Subject: Re: [PCBUILD] Hard Drive Issue

When you ran KillDisk, it erased everything on the disk, including the
operating system. Why did you run KillDisk if you intended to keep the
drive? KillDisk is intended to remove all traces of files for security
purposes.

In any case, you need to boot from your Windows CD and do a complete install
of the OS. As part of the installation process, you will need to Partition
and Format the disk. This is done by answering the questions in the Windows
install process.

I recently used KillDisk (free version) to wipe a primary hard drive. Now,
when I re-boot it shows that the primary slave, secondary master and
secondary slave do not exist. At the bottom of the screen it says "Disk Boot
Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter".

What do I have to do to make the system recognize the hard drive so that I
can reinstall Windows. Thank you all!

Chris
