<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> After reading and re-reading Ms. Truss' comment about gluten intolerance, I have come up with an alternate view. I don't know if this is what she meant, but consider: "I feel I've been missing out. I want to be gluten intolerant too. I mean, how much longer do we have to put up with that gluten crap?" Meaning, perhaps, "How much longer do we have to put up with gluten itself?" In an irreverent tone, I might say the same thing. How long do I have to put up with "that gluten crap" turning up in my son's favorite foods and being included in many foods it should not? Ms. Truss' tone in this quote, and I presume the entire book, is sarcastic and intolerant toward life in general. It would seem that here is yet another area to embrace intolerance - dietary intolerance. She wants to get on our bus, because she's a grumpy, complaining writer who is making a lot of money from that stance. . Just a thought. Please don't flame me for taking another look at meanings. * Send administrative questions to [log in to unmask] *
