<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I got a few helpful suggestions for safely participating in a potluck type gathering: (1) Always make sure you're first in line so you can serve yourself or your celiac before everything gets contaminated from shared serving utensils. And make sure you "load up" your plate so you'll still have plenty to eat later. (2) Prepare your food in two dishes. Label & stash one away for yourself (or your celiac). (3) Bring entrees in individual serving containers such as muffin liners or cups. This avoids the use of serving utensils that could contaminate. (4) Keep GF food off to the side with a sign on it, such as "Jess's food." (5) Eat before you go & bring chips so you're not tempted to munch on contaminated chips. (6) Carry your food in your purse or a bag. (7) Bring extra portions of your favorite dishes so you don't feel deprived. (8) Keep your drink carefully separated from others in the room. One respondant got sick from accidentally drinking from someone else's water cup! The last suggeston offered was the best of all: (9) Get one of those wonderful things called a wife who will prepare and protect all these wonderful GF foods to take to the potluck for you. (Does anyone know where I can get one of those? ha ha ha!) Valerie in Tacoma * All posts for product information must include the applicable country *
