Hello Deb, I think she may have been referring to "Microsoft Picture It!". Normally when a program such as this is installed, it changes the Windows association with certain file types so they open with it. Apparently this didn't happen with the program she is working with and when she selected a program, it changed other associations as well. More information would have been helpful in arriving at a solution but assuming the operating system is Windows XP, she can begin by going to Control Panel / Folder Options / File Types tab. There she can select the file types one at a time and change what it opens with it by clicking the "Change..." button under Details for the file type. If her operating system is Windows Millennium or XP she may be able to "undo" what has happened by using System Restore. It's accessed from the Start Menu / (All) Programs / Accessories / System Tools and she can learn about it in "Help and Support" on the Start Menu. I recommend you suggest she join the PCSOFT mailing list and post details of the problem. This would increase the chances of someone providing a workable solution. She can check it out and join here: Free Pc Tech Support: http://freepctech.com/pcsoft.shtml Sven Swanson, Sr. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Deb Blanchard" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Monday, December 19, 2005 1:29 PM Subject: [PCSOFT] Microsoft Picture One of my library customers asked us this question, but I'm not familiar with a software product called Microsoft Picture. Does anyone know what she is talking about? "I tried to open an attachment with microsoft picture. I didn't see the box that said always open with this program, now I can't open attachments. How can I fix this?' Thanks Curious about the people moderating your messages? Visit our staff web site: http://freepctech.com/staff.shtml
