Some how I got tangled up with this outfit called "Historic Districts
Council." I think they are the ones I sent an old book about NYC to but
I'm not sure. Anyway they keep sending me e-mails about what they are
doing and the latest is this effort to save this warehouse. I wouldn't
know it from most any other building in the City but they have got my
curiosity up now. Is anyone here familiar with the building and, quite
frankly, is it worth saving? Some buildings are and some aren't. In my
opinion some buildings are butt ugly from day one and shouldn't be
preserved just because they are old. Thanks, Country Mouse

Yesterday Mayor Bloomberg vetoed the City Council's decision to overturn the
landmark designation of the Austin, Nichols Warehouse in Williamsburg,
Brooklyn.

Thanks for all your letters and calls to the mayor to make this happen!

Tomorrow,Thursday December 8th, the City Council will vote on the mayor's
decision.
