Now, considering this, we might all want to ask about what else is fried in the oil of any given product. In the case of the recently mentioned fried onions, the distributor does not know about the manufacture, and is merely reporting based on label ingredients. That leaves the possibility that in fact there could be starches used during processing, as well as a frying oil that is used for different products.
