Sure, this is a time for all to take a stance especially the fence-sitters who would now and then crawl out of the woodwork to take a swipe at you. I think sometimes it soothes their consciences because they know they have a moral duty to stand up and be counted but are either too cowardly or too selfish to do that.
Many may have a feeling of helplessness but the situation may not be as helpless as it seems. For now, whiles we await the constitutionally stipulated time of 72 hours for the NADD leaders to be either brought before a judge or released, all who really care can visit http://sunugambia.com and donate something.
As when the students were gunned down in 2000 we can begin to lay the foundation for a concerted campaign to sensitise the international community to demand the unconditional release of our leaders.
Many are already pissed off by Deyda's still unresolved murder and Reporters Without Borders, for one, I'm certain will not hasitate to help resonate the message far and wide as they have been unrelenting in their demand to see a proper investigation into Deyda's murder.
