<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Hi,to all.I have followed the debate about the relative safety of oats for celiacs and I have seen good and bad information on this list.I read once on this forum that a study had been done to verify the notion that Irish oats are safe versus the contaminated U.S. oats and the study was done by the person going to several grocery stores and randomely picking cans of US products and Irish(MCCanns)oats.I was dismayed to read that 50% of the Irish samples tested positive for wheat.I can not cite the author of this experiment but some of you may recall seing it as well.More Recently I read a post that restated that Irish oats were safe and uncontaminated and that named old wessex as an Irish oat product.OLD WESSEX ARE NOT IMPORTED .Old wessex Irish STYLE oats are produced in the United states. Please do not eat them thinking they are ok.Jeff in Balto *Support summarization of posts, reply to the SENDER not the CELIAC List*
