Hi all, This afternoon I was trying to help a friend whose computer was running very slowly. When I did a cntl-alt-del there were five copies IE running on the system. I closed each one out. The first one closed easily. The other five did not respond so I had to shut those down. Does anyone know why IE would remain in memory, or what could cause so many copies to be in memory? The computer is an HP Pavilion 630 with an AMD-K6 processor with 64Megs of memory. I think the first thing to do to speed up the computer is to add more memory. The operating system is Win98. I was surprised it was running at all with that little memory. The owner has recently started working with images which, I think, is one reason he has noticed the system slowing down. Thanks...
