With one match to conclude the contest for which Nations will represent Africa in the FIFA World Cup in Germany in 2006, here are the standings:
Looks like Ghana and Tunisia are almost there. A draw with Cape Verde will be enough to get Ghana to Germany. Tunisia also need just a draw to go through to Germany. But this is Football (or Soccer, if you want) and nothing is certain until it's all over.
Togo has to beat Congo in Congo to qualify else Senegal could upstage them.
Cameroun has to win against Egypt else Ivory Coast could upstage them.
And Nigeria. They are locked in a fight with Angola. If Angola wins against Rwandan, Nigeria will be out.
There is a tricky duel between Tunisia and Morocco. Separated by only 1 point the winner goes to Germany. If a draw then Tunisia goes.
Enjoy the Labor day.
Workers of the world, Unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains.
Of course, I know this is not May 1, but Labor Day.
