There was discussion on the list some time ago regarding battery power options for portible setups.

Just curious if anyone has suggestions for a battery pack that can be easily carried and that will supply enough current for several hours of operation using 50 to 100 watts SSB?

The idea is to be able to pack radio, an 897 with buddy pole and battery pack capable of this type of operation up a mountain possibly between 2 persons.

There was a website given as well that had battery packs and various portible power alternatives for radio related activities.
