This part is self explanatory. You have a P2 which is very old technology and most games if any will not play on it and if they do, they won't play well. You didn't mention who much RAM your system has or the operating system. You may have bare minimum Ram. >Apart from that, i still wanted to know ....whats with that feature in "my >computer" security settings ...if we search in that we see an icon called >ADD NEW HARDWARE. This feature is for adding hardware manually that may not be plug and play. There is some hardware out there that you have to install manually. >I chosed Thrustmaster ACM Gamecard Do you have this card installed in the computer? When you said it appeared in "Device Manager" was there anything like a red circle with a line through it or possibly a yellow exclamation mark? You may be able to install some drivers and hardware according to the "Add New Hardware" however if the hardware isn't installed you won't be able to use those drivers. You may receive error messages like the one asking you for "the cards entry" Which you don't have so therefore the installation is incomplete. Just because there is a list of hardware and you choose one doesn't mean it is the one you have installed. You have to install the drivers according to the system package. >And then if it is then what should i do to get my existing video card to >perform at its peak level?. Given the age of your computer there may be nothing you can do in this area. You may give some consideration to adding more RAM however getting back to the age of the machine, it might not give you any performance edge when it comes to playing modern day games that require higher speed processors or better video cards. Another aspect to the mix is the fact you indicated that your computer is a "laptops, as mine is a Compaq". Back in the day when the system was new it could just about hold it's own. Back then laptops were much slower than desktops so I wouldn't expect any miracles with the system.
