FROM A CAT RESCUE FRIEND I don't have the time to read the article But I will tell you that none of my cats are finicky eaters They all love to eat I give them a wide variety of food, including chopped raw vegetables They eat everything The only time there is a problem with appetite, is if someone is sick or getting sick. Female cats in-heat, also SOMETIMES have a much reduced appetite They don't like very very fatty chicken/chicken soup - that is a different thing, because it is health related; cooked fat is a carcinogen, they must know that...... So I take off the skin and fat before cooking Shoshanna > > >Genetic research reveals the reason why cats are such persnickity >eaters: > >http://genetics.plosjournals.org/perlserv/?request=get-document&doi=10. >1 >371/journal.pgen.0010003 > >(according to the Friskies site, they can't taste salt, too, although >you couldn't tell that to my cat who loves salty foods!) > >Kat
