We always get my daughter's hamburger (at McDonald's) without a bun because she has had reactions ranging from hives to severe vomiting from the bun.  I bellieve that the buns are dairy-free, but when the preparer touches the cheese for another customer's burger and then touches the buns -- cross contamination occurs.

I am also curious about allergy safe restaurants - my daughter is allergic to dairy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and strawberries.  Thoughts?
