Hello, all, I really need some help for any of the computer gurus on the
list.
The other night, when I was restarting my computer, I encountered a
registry error which would not let me restart Windows, even when my brother
tried
to restart in Safe Mode and also he couldn't get it to restore itself to its
last known configuration.
Anyway, we reinstalled Windows, but the thing is now, some of my files
and folders I can find, but a lot I can't. Basically, if it was in my
documents,
it's gone, though I'm still using a huge amount of my drive space. If I
can't get my missing files back, is there any way I can at least free up
some
of my hard drive space? I mean, it says that I'm using around 20 G, when my
drive only has 26 G, and I can't account for all the space.
Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. Though my computer is
working now, I want it to be in the best shape possible as I'm needing it
for
a new job, so I can take notes during training.
Anyway, thanks guys for the help in advance...
If I had the time or inclination, I'd just try to wipe the whole hard
drive and just start over fresh, and that takes time, and I really need my
computer.
Thanks guys in advance...
