Well, now, you can't really say that Linux can't get a virus. The reason that most Linux machines don't get infected is because most virus writers target Microsoft machines -- which admittedly are fuller of security holes and bugs than Linux-run machines. However, if you have Windows software installed and run them with Wine or another Windows emulator, you *could* be vulnerable up to a point. Another question to ask is do you have a Samba server or access to one? BTW, have you tried using Konqueror? That works for me, too.
