I'd hope that as an officially sanctioned state policy, that sterilization would be almost impossible, but the act of "putting pressure" on people to influence decisions of this type is something that needs to be addressed. "I have heard of cases of disabled persons getting married with a stipulation of one or the other parties being sterilized." =20 This is an area that I think would really be worth investigating. =20 This request for me to be sterilized was 4 years ago. Sherry was sterilized again after Susan was born. I'm hoping that when Lorri and I get married that we don't have this problem. I have a decent paying job. I'm not on any welfare programs other than WIC so income should not be a problem. Lorri is working on a degree so the question of her mental capabilities is not going to be an issue.
