Dave, I just wrote a white paper on the accessibility issues around the new Google Print service.  It gets into the issues of copyright and contractual limitations on use versus public interest (that blind and other print disabled people should have access to books in electronic form).  But, I have hopes that Google will do good things if they can get publisher and library cooperation.
