I have grooves, not ridges. They are vertical/longitudinal/parallel to the fingers. The most obvious one has become shallower. IMHO food choice is not enough to explain this, I think it also needs the inner environment that supports the kind of gut critters that change food (chyme or whatever) into needed nutrients. William
